Around 20,536 candidates are eligible to sit for the examination held for the 11th occasion. The exam will be held in six schools - Nalanda, Gothami Balika Vidyalaya, Asoka Vidyalaya, D.S. Senanayake College, Isipatana and Thurstan College.
The SLBFE said candidates will not be allowed to carry cellphones or other electrical devices into the examination halls.
Also those who sit the examination should carry their passport with them as this a compulsory requirement.
According to Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare Minister Dilan Perera, the exam will be supervised by officials of the Examinations Department.
The Police will be deployed at every centre to maintain security and SLBFE officials will be help conduct the examination.
This year's examination is held to select employees to the production, fisheries and construction sectors. The results will be issued on November 1 and the cut off mark will be announced later.
The results will be posted on the following websites www.slbfe.lkwww.eps.gov.kr and www.hrdkorea.or.kg.
The Korean language proficiency examination is being held for the 11th time. Passing the test is the basic qualification for recruitment of Sri Lankan youth seeking jobs in Korea.
Around 25,000 Sri Lankans are presently employed in South Korea in skilled and semi-skilled trades. The recruitment process is carried out through an inter-government agreement.
